When we are under stress, there are many associated bodily changes and one of the common ones is muscle tension. This inevitably leads to body aches, fatigue, difficulty in breathing and poor concentration. These in turn lead to more muscle tension. PMR is a technique developed by Dr. Jacobson to relax our muscles and break this viscious cycle. In this version, there are 10 postures of repeated alternative muscle contraction and relaxation, each posture to be done 3 rounds and each round consist of 10 counts - this will take roughly about 5 minutes. For maximum effect, this should be practiced at least 2 times in a day e.g. morning and night. To download illustrations, kindly click on 'PMR'.
